This prayer mat is hung on the wall of my studio. It was made by my grandmother almost a hundred years ago. The puffs were filled with hundred percent cotton that she grew and the traits used were also made by her from the cocoons she had. I am grateful to my grandmother for leaving the heritage to me out of all grand children she had.
I have decided to make a wall quilt of this beautiful winter house of our friends Mr.&Mrs.Karakus when we were invited there. It would be a surprise to one of my best friends Mrs.Dilek Karakus on her birthday.
During our visit I have taken several pictures as a memory. But I knew perfectly well that one of the pictures became my pattern while I was making the wall quilt.

Watercolor technique is used, hand appliqued, hand quilted.
